Want to know how liberal your Senator or Congressional Representative is compared to other members of Congress? National Journal has an interactive tool that rates lawmakers, on a conservative-to-liberal scale, based upon their Congressional voting record throughout 2009. Lawmakers are assigned scores for each of their roll-call votes on leading economic, social and foreign-policy issues.
The magazine determined that “long-standing ideological divides have persisted – and even deepened – in President Obama’s Washington.” That’s stating the obvious.

My elected officials would all wear Mao jackets, if they thought they could get away with it. Even Mark Kirk (R, sorta, IL), the 'republican' who is scheming on Obama's old senate gig. He is up against Alexi Gianoulias (GEE'-uh-NOO'-lee-us), who is mobbed up and whose family bank just failed and was taken over by the feds.
I give Mob Boy a 60/40 shot at winning the seat. So goes politics in Illinois, where we always say, vote early, vote often. Especially if you're dead.

yup ... one more tool to help us in the electorate gauge the true center-right (whatever party). i'm so stoked to have more things like this to show the true colors of the RADICAL left in our Congress. or, i can just listen to the mainstreammedia ... NOT. ;)

Fredd, my legislators are all raving liberals as well. I found the tool interesting to compare them to other legislators. Turns out my senators and representatives are among the most liberal legislators in Congress.
